Todd Franzen grew up in Breckenridge Colorado and in the winter of 1991, at the age of 15, he was the National Champion in both Halfpipe and Slalom snowboarding in his age group. Todd has been featured in numerous industry publications, advertisements and films. He has traveled all over the globe, including Russia, Slovenia, Japan, New Zealand and Europe. Post snowboarding career in 2009 Todd was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Stage 4B, a serious life-threatening form of cancer. After much treatment and many procedures Todd has stayed positive and made a full recovery.
I didn’t think about my mortality. It was just me, it was the hill, just making turns.
Our Primary goal is to allow those patients who’s lives have been affected by cancer, a way to escape that reality. We plan every year to take a group of able cancer patients, to the mountains, to world class events such as the xGames, Winter Olympics, The Dew Tour, and others. As mountain enthusiasts, Strap in For Life hopes to influence and inspire those that are currently fighting a life fight, through the energy and excitement of these events.
