Nikki Stone became America’s first-ever Olympic Champion in the sport of inverted aerial skiing at the 1998 Olympic Winter Games in Nagano, Japan. What made this accomplishment even more impressive is that less than two years earlier, a chronic back injury prevented her from standing, let along walking or skiing. Some doctors told her that she may never ski again. Throughout her career, Nikki earned 35 World Cup medals and 11 World Cup titles. She has made appearances on Late Night with David Letterman, The Today Show, Good Morning America, ESPN, CNN and more. Nikki is the author of “When Turtles Fly: Secrets of Successful People who know how to stick their necks out”, which was recently named an Amazon Best Seller.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away.
